Iowa City Police: Man assaulted in bar

Three man face charges after police said they assaulted a man in a downtown bar.
Officers responded to Brother's Bar and Grill, 125 S. Dubuque St., around 9:45 p.m. Saturday and found an unconscious person inside the bar. Police said the man appeared to suffered injury.
Investigation into the matter determined that a fight broke out and Christopher L. Grimm, 32, of Osage, hit and threw the man on the floor, according to police reports. Police also said Eric R. Benyshek 22, of Lisbon, and Anthony R. Weipert, 27, of Osage, kicked the man in the head or upper torso after being thrown to the floor while he was unprotected.
They were all charged with assault with intent to cause serious injury.
