Iowa City police investigating suspicious death

Iowa City police are investigating a suspicious death that happened Monday at a residence in the 300 block of Camden Road, according to the department.
Police responded to the home at 9:19 a.m. Monday for a medical incident, which is now being investigated as a suspicious death.
The deceased has been identified as Victoria A. Skarda, 33, of Iowa City. The department has not released any other information about the death or the investigation, like the nature of the medical incident or why Skarda’s death is considered suspicious.
The cause and manner of death are under investigation by the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to the police department.
