Iowa City police investigate shooting

IOWA CITY — Iowa City Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Friday night.

At 11:05 p.m., Iowa City police responded for a fight in progress at the 1000 block of Sandusky Dr. Once on the scene, officers located a male victim who was bleeding from injuries sustained during the incident. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers learned that the victim had shown up at a resident's door and was knocking for several minutes before police were called. The initial investigation revealed that the victim may have been robbed at gunpoint, and it was later determined that the victim had been shot. This case remains under investigation.

Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect/s.
