Iowa City police identify driver in motorcycle crash
Police have identified the driver in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Norwood Circle and Friendship Street as Michael J. Thompson, 33, of Iowa City.
The accident occurred in Iowa City at 8:36 a.m., Tuesday Morning.
Police said the motorcycle and was the only vehicle involved in the accident. It appeared that Thompson hit a curb and lost control of the motor bike, suffering serious injuries from the incident, including a head injury.
The driver was taken by ambulance to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. No report on his condition has been issued other than that he is still alive.
