Two Iowa City residents are accused of facilitating a marijuana growing operation after authorities say they found dozens of marijuana plants in three rooms of their home on July 18.
According to Iowa City police reports, Zachary S. Goldsmith, 35, and Emily L. Goldsmith, 31, of 721 Kimball Rd., were arrested on suspicion of a controlled substance violation, keeping or permitting use of a controlled substance and possession or distribution without a tax stamp.
More than 1,500 grams of marijuana, 44 plants of marijuana in various stages of growth, drug paraphernalia and packaging materials were located at the Goldsmiths' home when a drug search warrant was issued, police said.
Zachary and Emily Goldsmith were being held at the Johnson County Jail on respective $20,000 cash bonds on Tuesday morning.
