A Titonka official has been arrested on charges of online sexual enticement after authorities say he sent an obscene live video stream of himself to an undercover police officer in Nebraska.
Paul Heyer, the utilities superintendent for the northern Iowa city of Titonka, was arrested Monday.
Police say Heyer initiated an online conversation with someone who he believed was a 15-year-old girl. The person was actually a detective with LaVista Internet Crimes Against Children in Sarpy County, Neb.
Police say Heyer solicited the person for sexual favors over the past two months.
Police say Heyer was online with another undercover officer when detectives knocked on his door.
Heyer was being held in the Kossuth County jail awaiting extradition to Nebraska.
Jail officials say they did not know if Heyer has an attorney.
