Iowa City man charged with possessing child pornography

IOWA CITY - An Iowa City man has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Brayton Reynolds, 23, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor, an aggravated misdemeanor, for buying or possessing images of a minor 'engaged in a prohibited sexual act or simulation thereof.”

According to the affidavit, Iowa City police received a referral Feb. 2 from the Iowa Internet Crimes Against Children about someone uploading three videos to a Dropbox account that depicted the sexual assault of boys younger than the age of 13.

Police determined Reynolds was associated with the account and seized electronic items from his residence on East Bloomington Street. A laptop was found to contain a video depicting sexual assault of a minor, according to the affidavit.
