Iowa City man arrested on drug violations

Police arrested an Iowa City man for several drug violations Friday.
Peter M. Grady, 24, of 307 E. College St. No. 1813, Iowa City was arrested on suspicion of a controlled substance violation, drug tax stamp violation and keeping a drug house.
Officers executed a search warrant at Grady's home May 2 and found several packages of marijuana, packaging materials and $1,380 cash, according to police records.
Grady admitted that he deals marijuana and that the money was proceeds from selling the drug, records show.
Officers later seized an additional $6,063 from Grady. That money is also believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Grady was not listed as an inmate at the Johnson County Jail Monday.
