Iowa City man arrested for alleged 2009 sexual abuse incidents

Deputies from the Johnson County Sheriff's office arrested an Iowa City man in connection to reported sexual abuse incidents that occurred in the summer of 2009.

Officers arrested Joseph J. Lundgren, 39, of 961 Muller Ave, with second degree sexual abuse. He was taken into custody Thursday, Aug. 5.

According to the complaint, another male reported that Lundgren sexually abused him three different times at Fun Crest Camping Area, in Johnson County.

Lt. Raquel Wray of the Johnson County Sheriff's Department said investigation still continues in the case, and further details regarding the reported incidents won't be released at this time.

As of Wednesday, Lundgren was in the Johnson County Jail and is being held on a $7,500 cash only bond.
