An Iowa City man is accused of first-degree burglary after police say he attacked a man after confronting him at an Iowa City apartment.
Authorities say Andy Anderson, 38, of 434 Peterson St., visited a man's apartment in the 1100 block of Arthur Street and allegedly attacked him Sept. 13. The two had ongoing issues, police said.
Police say the man was hit in the eye with an unknown object during the alleged incident, resulting in a small facial fracture and injury that required surgery.
The victim reported there were several other accomplices with Anderson at the time of the incident, but he could not positively identify them.
Police say they found a ripped and bloody T-shirt in the man's living room that allegedly belonged to Anderson.
When questioned by police, Anderson allegedly admitted to attacking the man. He refused to identify his accomplices, police said.
Anderson was being held at the Johnson County Jail Wednesday morning, waiting to appear before a judge.
