Iowa City cab driver assaulted, robbed

A cab driver was robbed at the Dolphin Lake Point Enclave apartment complex, 2401 Hwy6 East in Iowa City on Thursday night around 5 p.m.

According to police, a customer attempted to exit the cab without paying. When he could not get his door unlocked, he crawled over the front seat and assaulted the driver, taking his car keys and radio mic.

The robber fled into apartment complex. No weapon was displayed and the driver was not injured.

The robber is described as a black male in his late 20's, about 5'10", wearing a black sweater and black pants.
