Injuries reported in Highway 151 crash east of Anamosa

UPDATE: Three people were hurt in rollover crash on Highway 151 near Anamosa this morning.

Authorities said the westbound vehicle rolled multiple times around 8:30 a.m., about four miles east of Anamosa near 180th Avenue. At least two people were ejected, an Iowa State Patrol trooper said.

The vehicle, which appears to be a sport-utility vehicle, stopped on its side on the inside shoulder of the westbound lanes. Both westbound lanes were closed around 9:45 a.m. while troopers investigated.

The accident victims were taken to an Anamosa hospital, and two of them were flown to another hospital by helicoptor, the trooper said.

The trooper said one of the victims had a broken leg, but he was unsure of the severity of the injuries.

An investigation was continuing.
