IHSAA releases postseason district pods in Class 1A, 2A

The Iowa High School Athletic Association released boys' basketball pods for the smallest two classes Monday. Click on the 'IHSAA” icons at the top right of this post to view them.

Items of interest include the splitting of quality teams from the Jones and Dubuque county areas.

Dyersville Beckman is in Class 2A, District 7 with a good MFL/Mar-Mac team. In District 8 and the same substate are Cascade and Monticello.

Anamosa and Northeast Goose Lake are in District 9, with schools such as Iowa City Regina and Durant in corresponding District 10. Last season, Beckman, Cascade, Monticello, Anamosa and Northeast all were in the same substate.

In Class 1A, Cedar Valley Christian is in District 7, with Bellevue, Calamus-Wheatland, Easton Valley, Lisbon, Bellevue Marquette, Midland, Clinton Prince of Peace, Bettendorf Rivermont Collegiate and Springville. In the corresponding District 8 are good teams such as Lone Tree, Highland, Danville and Iowa Mennonite.

District pairings will be released next month. They will be determined via team records in games one through 15.
