Identities of 2 found dead near Springville released

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office has identified the two adults found dead Wednesday at a mobile home park near Springville, but has not said yet how they died.

The office was called about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday to check on an individual who had not reported or called in to work. Deputies responded to 2600 Carlton Lane No. 6 and found that a man and a woman were both dead.

Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office identified them as Brett Rickard, 49, and Genera Humbert, 48, both of Springville.

Both bodies were transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of deaths. The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the deaths, but has said there does not appear to be any threat to the public.
