I-380 crash near Shueyville slows traffic Wednesday morning
The crash happened on the northbound side of the interstate
First responders have closed the northbound side of Interstate 380 between Swisher and Shueyville due to a crash, the Iowa DOT reported on Wednesday morning.
The interstate is closed between Exit 4 near Penn Street and County Road F28 and Exit 10 near County Road F12.
Photos on social media show a red SUV that collided with the back of a semi truck.
First responders include a medical helicopter and at least half a dozen other emergency vehicles on the scene.
Currently, a detour is being set up and Google Maps reported a 14- to16-minute delay for travelers.
A look at the DOT traffic camera shows traffic backed up on the northbound side of I-380.
