House fire injures two people in Cedar Rapids
A late-night fire that sent two people to the hospital originated next to an oxygen generator, investigators said.
One man suffered serious injuries in the blaze, which was reported around 10:12 p.m. at 3230 Dalewood Ave. SE. A female also needed medical treatment.
The two victims were first treated at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, but have since been transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, authorities said. Their names have not been released.
Fire investigators said the oxygen generator where the fire started was located in the man's second-floor bedroom.
