Hopkinton man receives numerous charges for child porn

CEDAR RAPIDS - A Hopkinton man has been charged in federal court with several counts of child pornography.
Paul LeClere, 50, was charged last month with one count of receipt of child pornography and five counts of possession of child pornography, according to an indictment filed in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa. LeClere is accused of receiving and possessing child pornography between 2003 and 2013.
LeClere appeared for a detention hearing December 24, 2014, and was released on bond with the condition of electronic monitoring. His trial is set Feb. 23.
If convicted, LeClere faces five years to 110 years in prison and a $1.5 million fine and at least five years and up to life on supervised release following any prison time.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Tremmel and was investigated by the Scott County Sheriff's Office, the Davenport Police Department, the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office, the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, and Homeland Security Investigations.
