Historic Dubuque church to close
The Mass held Sunday morning at Dubuque's historic St. Mary's Catholic Church will be one of its last.
Dubuque Archbishop Jerome Hanus accepted a recommendation to close the 142-year-old church. St. Mary's faces declining membership and is $160,000 in debt.
The church is expected to close in May or June of next year.
