The Iowa City Community School District Foundation recently received a check for $19,475.67 from Hills Bank Senior Vice President Keith Jones and the Hills Bank Classroom Cash Program.
The check represents the donation made by Hills Bank to the ICCSD from more 8,800 customer's debit card purchases made and registered to benefit the ICCSD.
Since the Classroom Cash program began in 2004, more than $177,000.00 has been donated to the Iowa City area public schools. This funding benefits the ICCSD Foundation's Excellence Fund, which provides annual grants to the schools. Classroom technology, visiting artists and authors, literacy materials, music programs and field trips are just a few examples of unique learning opportunities supported through the Excellence Fund and made possible, in part by Hills Bank Classroom Cash program.
