Highway 151 reopens in Walford after multi-vehicle crash

UPDATE: Highway 151 in Walford reopened around 9 a.m. Wednesday after a three-car crash earlier in the morning left three people hurt.

The crash happened at around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Iowa State Patrol says one vehicle was stopped on Highway 151 to make a turn into the BP gas station when it was hit from behind by another car. A third car in the opposite lane was also struck in the crash.

Authorities shut down Highway 151 to clean up the crash.

Three people were taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids for treatment. There's no word on the extent of their injuries.
