HIAWATHA — A busy Hiawatha road has reopened after a lengthy and disruptive closure.
Boyson Road from 12th Avenue to N. Center Point Road reopened to traffic late this week, according to a city-issued news release. The road had been closed for upwards of a month to accommodate a road construction project.
The southbound exit and entrance ramps to Interstate 380 from Boyson Road also have reopened. The northbound exit ramp will be closed for one more week while new signage is installed, and the northbound entrance ramp will be closed through late October.
Construction crews remain for additional site work throughout the area, however, so motorists are advised to continue driving with caution. Work on the project will continue throughout 2025 and into the 2026 construction season.
