Gunshots hit southeast Cedar Rapids home; no one hurt

Gunshots struck a house in southeast Cedar Rapids late Monday, but no injuries were reported, police said.
Officers were sent around 11:15 p.m. to the area of 14th Street and Fifth Avenue SE. They determined three shots struck the house at 1227 Fifth Ave. SE and damaged siding, according to a police report.
Sgt. Joe Clark, a police spokesman, said it appeared to investigators that the gunshots were fired from the back side of the house. No witnesses have come forward, and no suspects have been identified, he said.
An investigation was continuing.
No one was hurt when gunshots struck a house in southeast Cedar Rapids late Monday.
