Iowa veterans have until Wednesday to apply for a new fellowship program through U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley.
Grassley is seeking two veterans, one to work in Cedar Rapids and the other in Des Moines, to meet with veterans and service organizations on his behalf, according to a news release. These groups include county Veterans Services, National Guard, Iowa Veterans Home and Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals and clinics across the state.
The fellows also would assist with constituent correspondence and casework.
The application is available at www.grassley.senate.gov. Hard copies are available in Grassley's Iowa offices in Cedar Rapids (111 Seventh Ave. SE, Suite 6800), Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo.
