Funeral set for Cedar Rapids teen killed in crash

CEDAR RAPIDS - Funeral services have been set for Justine M. Bonner, 19, of Cedar Rapids, who died March 30 in a single vehicle crash on Highway 13.
Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, 520 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Authorities said Bonner was northbound on Highway 13 around 2:38 p.m. on March 30 when she lost control of the vehicle and crossed the median. The vehicle rolled and came to rest on its top in the southbound lanes of Highway 13.
Bonner was pronounced dead at the scene. Bonner's passenger, her boyfriend Rodney C. Dennis Jr., 18, of Cedar Rapids, was not injured, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office. She and Dennis were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, police said.
Justine is survived by her father, David Boner; brothers Tyler Smith and David Bonner Jr.; grandparents Joyce Hurley, Roger and Sharon Smith, and John and Cathy Bailey; as well as many other extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her mother Gwen.
Justine Bonner attended Jefferson High School and Kirkwood Community College. She worked for Dave and Sons Excavating and Grading and enjoyed riding motorcycles, four wheelers, fishing and spending time with her boyfriend, according to her obituary.
