IOWA CITY - Friends of Caroline Found, an Iowa City West High School student who died in a crash last week, plan to make t-shirts in her honor.
"People liked Caroline a lot, she was someone you wanted to be around," said Jeff Reinhard, a recent graduate of West High School.
Found was killed after she lost control of her moped and crashed into a tree on Mormon Trek Blvd. in Iowa City last Thursday.
"People should want to live their lives the way she lived hers," said Reinhard, one of the driving forces behind the shirts.
Nearly 800 people have pre-ordered the shirt, which will read: "Live-Like-Line" on the front, and have the number nine on the back.
"Her nickname was Line," said Reinhard. "Short for Caroline, and nine was her volleyball number."
"Caroline was well known by so many people, she was a great person," said Kaitlyn Robinson, a friend and classmate who came up with the idea to create the shirts. "It's going to be hard to go to school and not see someone wearing the shirt on a given day."
More information about the shirts can be found on the groups Facebook page by clicking on this link.
A funeral for Caroline Found will be held on Tuesday morning at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Iowa City.
