Four teens charged in vandalism of patrol car, school

CEDAR RAPIDS – Four teenagers have admitted to painting graffiti on a patrol car and school property, among other places.
All four teens, Colin A. Brown, 18, Sean P. Kenel, 18, Jacob G. Schoneman, 18, and Thomas M. Singer, 18, are charged with second-degree criminal mischief for causing more than $1,000 in damage, according to court documents.
According to the criminal complaint, the four young men painted graffiti on property belonging to Rydell Chevrolet, Twisters Gymnastics in Hiawatha, Xavier High School in Cedar Rapids along with a Johnson County squad car. They also admitted to tagging a traffic control device in Hiawatha and property at 975 Deer Crest Dr. in Hiawatha owned by Delores Wright.
All of the crimes were committed on July 18 and 19, police said.
No other details were immediately available.
