Four in custody after suspected meth lab found in Iowa City

UPDATE: Four Iowa City roommates are in custody after police allegedly found items consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine in their home Sunday night.
According to criminal complaints, police received reports of suspicious activity in the 1000 block of Sandusky Drive, which eventually led them to 1211 Sandusky Drive. Officers said they spoke with the occupants of the home, during which they observed signs of drug manufacturing.
Police obtained a search warrant and several items used for the manufacture of meth were seized inside and outside the home, according to the complaints.
Officers arrested 67-year-old Charles A. Griffin, 42-year-old Terry L. Griffin, 29-year-old Timothy D. Messier and 40-year-old Joyce A. Oxford. All four were charged with possession of items used to manufacture a controlled substance, a Class D felony, and keeping a drug house.
The roommates are all being held in the Johnson County Jail on separate $12,500 cash-only bonds.
