Four hurt when van's tire blows on I-380

SHUEYVILLE – Four people were hurt when a van crashed Tuesday along Interstate 380, authorities said.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Lisa M. McKnight, 45, of Cedar Rapids, was driving the van north around 4:45 p.m. when one of its rear tires popped near mile marker 8. The van skidded into the ditch where it hit a tree before stopping.

McKnight and a passenger, Briana Andresen, 20, of Cedar Rapids, were taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Two other passengers, Dayna Mack, 22, and Demetrice Wright, 20, both of Cedar Rapids, went to the same hospital by personal vehicle for treatment of their injuries, authorities said.

Information about medical conditions of the injured was not immediately available Wednesday morning.
