Four former Cedar Rapids RoughRiders players remain in the chase for the Stanley Cup.
At least one will be eliminated from the National Hockey League playoffs Wednesday when the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks play a deciding Game 7 of their first-round series.
Defenseman Alec Martinez is a member of the Kings, forward Tommy Wingels and goaltender Alex Stalock play for the Sharks. Stalock started his first playoff game Monday, a 4-1 loss.
'He has a chance to play in Game 7,” San Jose Coach Todd McLellan said.
Forward Jayson Megna is a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, who play either the Philadelphia Flyers or New York Rangers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Megna played in one game in Pittsburgh's opening-round series win over Columbus.
