Former ROTC instructor at Northern Iowa sentenced for child porn

A 34-year-old former ROTC instructor at the University of Northern Iowa has been given seven months in prison for having child pornography.
Martin Weeks had lived in Waterloo before moving to New York. He was sentenced on Monday in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids.
Weeks also must serve five years of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
Federal prosecutors say Weeks admitted possession of child porn between November 2007 and February 2008. He pleaded guilty to the charges in federal court in July.
