Former Floyd County attorney gets law license back

The law license for the former Floyd County attorney has been reinstated.

Mason City television station KIMT reports Jesse Marzen is now free to resume his practice.

Marzen's license was suspended after the Iowa Supreme Court ruled he had committed ethics violations before his election in November 2006.

He was effectively removed from the county office after his license was suspended in March 2010.

The state's Attorney Disciplinary Board

did not oppose Marzen's reinstatement, which the Supreme Court granted last week.
