The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for minor flooding near Lone Tree, in southern Johnson County, until Sunday.
The Weather Service said the Iowa River at Lone Tree measured 15.5 feet this morning. Flood stage is 15 feet.
The river should fall below flood stage on Sunday, though ice jams may cause river levels to fluctuate by 1 to 2 feet, with minor flooding of low-lying roads possible, the Weather Service said.
The National Weather Service will release their statewide spring flooding outlook later today. Concerns have been raised about flooding possibilities this spring.
