First Megabus rolls through Iowa City

A handful of passengers came to the corner of South Dubuque Street and East Court Street in downtown Iowa City for the first day of Megabus service.

The low-cost bus carrier offers fares as low as $1 each way, if purchased online far enough in advance.

Most of the people we spoke with said they got their tickets for $3.50 each way.

The Megabus runs two trips out of Iowa City for both Chicago and Des Moines.
