Fire severely damages Central City home
A Central City home is a complete loss after crews battled a fire for hours early Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. at Eighth and Commercial streets.
Firefighters say the home was a foreclosure property. No one was inside when they arrived.
Officials are trying to determine a cause. Fire Chief Mark Powell said he suspects the fire was caused by an electrical problem.
Powell estimated the damage at $50,000.
