Fire drives residents from southeast Cedar Rapids home
Neighbors helped residents get outside when a fire started in a southeast Cedar Rapids home early Monday morning, officials said.
Crews responded around 2 a.m. to 3223 Mound Ave. SE. Authorities said a small fire filled an attic with smoke.
An official on the scene said the cause of the fire appeared to be electrical. The investigation was continuing.
