Fire damages Iowa City mobile home
IOWA CITY - A mobile home and its contents sustained significant damage in a fire Saturday.
Iowa City Fire Department crews were dispatched at 10:27 a.m. to Bon Aire Mobile Home Lodge, 2801 Highway 6 East, Lot 205, for a report of a structure fire. The first unit to arrive found heavy smoke showing from three sides of the structure. All occupants had been evacuated before crews arrived. Firefighters extinguished the fire within 30 minutes, according to a news release.
A loss estimate is not yet available, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
