Finishing touches being put on Cedar Rapids Dunkin' Donuts

The Corridor will soon have its second Dunkin' Donuts. Construction is finishing up and hiring is in the works, said Andrea Farley, franchise and operations manager of Eastern Iowa Food Service.

The company still has not announced an opening date, but Farley said customers can expect the store, 2905 Blairs Ferry Road NE, to be open this fall. The first Corridor location, at 604 Second St. in Coralville, opened this June.

All shift mangers have been hired and received training, and Eastern Iowa Food Service is now finishing filling bakery and associate positions.

Equipment has been moved inside, tables have been set up and signs have been hung on the outside of the building.

"It's really starting to look like a (Dunkin' Donuts) store," she said.

Eastern Iowa Food Service, a subsidiary of Reif Oil Co., said it will open a dozen new restaurants in Eastern Iowa over the next six years. The company's third location will be Dubuque, she said, adding that construction there has begun.
