Police said they caught a father, his young son and another man burglarizing the Boys and Girls Club late Saturday night.
Officers were sent around 10 p.m. to the Boys and Girls Club of Cedar Rapids, 1501 Ellis Blvd. NW, when a caller reported suspicious activity. Three people were located inside the building by police.
Roy Morarie Jr., 51, of 400 Lindale Dr. NE, No. G9, was with his 12-year-old son, Roy Morarie III, according to the police report. Another man, Tommy Ray, 48, of 259 35th St. Dr. SE, was also located inside, police said.
All three were arrested on suspicion of third-degree burglary and possession of burglary tools. Police said Ray had a pipe used for drugs with him and was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The two men were taken to the Linn County Jail, and the 12-year-old was transported to the Linn County Detention Center.
