Ely moped crash kills driver

ELY - One person died late Sunday afternoon following a moped crash in Linn County.

The crash happened around 4:45 p.m. at 6430 Old River Road in Ely.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office say that the driver of the moped somehow lost control and crashed.

The Sheriff's Office says the driver was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

Investigators are not releasing that person's name at this point. The crash remains under investigation.
