An Ely man was hospitalized after a single-vehicle rollover Saturday afternoon.
According to a media release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, at roughly 2:40 p.m. Saturday afternoon emergency responders were dispatched to a single vehicle personal injury accident at the off ram of Highway 30 eastbound heading onto Highway 13 northbound.
As emergency personnel arrived and investigated, they found that a Ford 150 pickup truck driven by Dustin Hoffman, 45, of Ely had been exiting Highway 30 to Highway 13 when he lost control of his vehicle, slipping off the road and sliding down a steep embankment, causing the vehicle to roll several times, according to the release.
According to the release Hoffman was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was transported to Mercy Hospital by Mt. Vernon/Lisbon ambulance service for treatment of what are 'believed to be non-life threatening injuries.” according to the release.
