Ely home fire causes extensive damage

ELY - An investigation is underway after a fire broke out at a house in Ely on Sunday.

Crews responded around 4:30 p.m. to 1625 Ranmar Drive.

Authorities say the owner of the home told them that he was deep frying a turkey when the house caught on fire.

No one was injured, but authorities say there was a lot of damage to the house.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office and Ely Fire Department are investigating.
