East Post Road reopens following crash

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash along East Post Road in southeast Cedar Rapids.
Crews were called to the scene between Trailridge Road and Cottage Grove Parkway at about 2:30 Monday afternoon. Police closed East Post Road for a period of time, but the road reopened shortly after 4 p.m..
According to Cedar Rapids police Lt. Jerry Potter, an adult female, an infant and a 15-year-old child were extricated, by Cedar Rapids firefighters, from the minivan they were traveling in after it was involved in a collision with a city-owned pick-up.
The three were transported to Mercy Medical Center to be checked for injuries. No other details are available at this time.
