Driver's identity still unknown in Interstate 380 semi fatal

Police continue their efforts to identify the man who died in the fiery crash of his semi-trailer truck on Interstate 380 early Thursday.
Police spokeswoman Cristy Hamblin did say on Friday police believe they know the driver's identity and that he is from out of state.
The accident happened just south of the 5-in-1 Bridge at 1:25 a.m. when the semi struck a guardrail above Third Street NW. The trailer and cab both caught fire, and the cab fell from the interstate to the ground below.
The semi, which was hauling appliances, broke through the guardrail. Several of the appliances fell off the bridge.
