Driver airlifted after Highway 30 crash

The driver of a sport-utility vehicle was airlifted from the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Highway 30 today.
According to reports from the scene, a man driving a black SUV was eastbound on Highway 30, just west of Cedar Rapids, around 11 a.m. today when he lost control. The SUV then hit a tree.
The driver, the only one in the SUV, was airlifted with head injuries to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics with head injuries.
