Drive-up box for water bill disappearing on May’s Island
CEDAR RAPIDS - Come Sept. 8, you won't be able to pay your water bill at the drive-up box on May's Island across Second Avenue from the Veterans Memorial Building.
The reason: The city is in the process of turning Second Avenue into a two-way street from Sixth Street SW to First Street SE.
To replace the drive-up box, the city is installing a box near the north entrance to City Hall at First Avenue and First Street SE. Free temporary parking spots are available nearby.
