In these tough economic times, more families might be wondering if they qualify for the free and reduced school lunch program.
The Iowa Department of Education announced its policy for free and reduced price school cafeteria meals for children whose families cannot afford the full price. State and Local school officials have adopted the family size and income criteria for determining eligibility.
A family of four making $40,793 or less would qualify for the program.
