Davenport man dies in crash on I-80 in Iowa County

The Iowa State patrol has released the name of a Davenport man killed in a crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 80 near Victor.
Joseph J. Jones, 72, of Davenport, died when he lost control of his van along Interstate 80 in Iowa County, the Iowa State Patrol said.
Jones was driving west about two miles east of the Victor interchange shortly after 2 p.m. when his van slid out of control and across the median, where it struck a semi-trailer truck driven by Blair Hall, 55, of Brooklyn.
Jones was dead at the scene. Hall was not seriously hurt.
