Cullis re-elected Robins mayor
Mayor Ian Cullis, who tangled with council members this year over contracts involving the city's engineering firm, was re-elected Robins mayor.
Cullis outpolled Rick Cleasby 252-219 to win his second term.
In July and again in August, the city council overrode Cullis' veto of contracts with Snyder & Associates Inc., which has provided the city's engineering services for 20 years.
Cullis said he had no specific quarrel with Snyder, but he didn't like the appearance of the city's engineering firm receiving contracts to work on city-funded projects. He argued that with Robins' strong growth in recent years, the city's contracting process needs to be more transparent
