Emergency responders had to extricate a Marion woman from beneath her car and airlift her to a nearby hospital after she crashed just east of Marion.
Linn County Sheriff's deputies say that Jeannette Marie Malake, 41, of 6330 Christine Drive in Marion, was driving on the northbound lanes of Highway 151 just a mile outside of Marion when she lost control of her vehicle and rolled multiple times before coming to a stop.
Malake was thrown from the car and then trapped beneath it in a ditch just a hundred yards before the intersection of Marion Airport Road. Officials said that Malake was driving alone.
Linn County Sheriff's Sgt. Gary VanCura said that Malake's injuries appeared to be non life threatening.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
