Crews battle fire at Lisbon elevator
Fire crews responded to a fire at the Wilkin Elevator in Lisbon.
Flames can be seen coming from the top of the elevator, at 102 E. Fifth Ave. in Lisbon.
The fire was reported at around 1:30 p.m. Monday.
No word yet on what started the fire, but a witness tells TV9 that the elevator was recently purchased after being out of service for several years and that the new owner had been doing some work with a cutting torch.
No injuries have been reported.
